Facebook Politics: I am a Facebook Addict

September 16th, 2008

I want to follow up on the most interesting political presidential race of my time by joining Facebook / ABC News Debate Groups but I can’t because Facebook denies me access to my account yet again.

Facebook a social network built on a wonderful platform won’t help me with my addiction because I receive emails signed “The Facebook Team”. What team is Facebook talking about? I have yet to get from Facebook a:
full name of any person, address to contact them, phone number or any information from facebook that reveals any identity. Why is Facebook such a faceless entity?

Facebook blocked me in April 2008 when I hit over 5,000 Friends when I forgot my password and had not filed out the all important security question. I built back up to over 3,500 friends and it came again. Your account has been disabled by an administrator. If you have any questions or concerns, you can visit our FAQ page here. When I wrote them “The Facebook Team” got right on it with an automated system reply.

Hi,

The Facebook Team has received your inquiry. We should get back to you soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to review our Terms of Use (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php) for more information.

Thanks for contacting Facebook,

The Facebook Team.

Facebook we don’t understand your Terms of Use as in my experience you are like Google with your own set of rules. I think Google has earned the
right but I am not sure you have. Such continued actions may serve to harm the social networking site.

My fellow addicts share with me your comments.
